I can’t rate highly enough how beautifully made this game is and how it’s perfectly balanced to allow you to enjoy it without the pressure to pay, but giving you enough features when you do pay to feel worthwhile.Truly inspirational - this game was so ahead of its time when released and is still a delight to play. I often end up frustrated by ads on other games where you spend more time watching ads than actually playing and that keeps driving me back to lemmings because the adverts are a choice. My favourite feature and the one that really makes this game stand out is that you don’t have to watch any adverts unless you choose too. That you can buy energy with the coins you earn is a nice touch making the game one of the few that you don’t have to pay to play. I love that the levels get progressively harder and with limited energy you really have to think and plan ahead. The worlds are beautiful and a lovely feature, even if a little unnecessary. The designs of the lemmings are always interesting and entertaining. Overall it's not perfect but I am definitely enjoying it. Though I appreciate more that I am not being asked to connect to Facebook every other minute like most apps out there. I myself pay for the VIP membership but reckon that should have far better rewards than it does. ![]() I do appreciate what others say on the money aspect but you don't have to spend money if you don't want to. Nice touch though for 2021 and the 30 year anniversary that the recent update has added in the classic music. Also I miss the old landscapes where instead of all of it being blocks we would dig through all sorts of stuff. It did take getting used to going upwards or downwards and not the classic neverending walk the old Lemmings seemed to have where half the time you couldn't even see the exit. The challenge levels can be a nightmare but I never give up and like the new tribes each month. I find it nostalgic enough to reminisce but also different enough that it has new and different challenges. Lemmings was one of my favourite games back in the day on my Amiga 500, so was delighted to find this here. I love it, and hopefully it makes improvements to the energy feature to give everyone the best game possible! Instead, you build your way up through each levels, and you just have to plan when you play each level to work out how to use less energy. ![]() Tbh, why would you want never ending unlimited energy? You would begin to find it very boring if it was a non-stop game. ![]() Hopefully over time they will bring in a few of the old features and actions. I have never had any problems with it not being online and crashing. I do think the prices were set too high and they should offer the chances to win unlimited energy for a few hours (Candy Crush does that), but I find the energy I do gain back lets me play a few levels (you just have to think and use them wisely). ![]() The concept of energy for example, is an App thing. I think what a lot of these other reviews are struggling with is the concept that it is an App and Apps do not work the same way old versions on other consoles worked and it had to be adapted properly for an App. And you level up and go from world to world, it is very thoughtful. I have hoped for a long time that the App Store would one day have this game and I finally found one.
